Using Direct Pay (WITH YOUR BANK ACCOUNT)

Paying the IRS is never an easy task be it emotionally or even technological. What I mean about that is the fact navigating their website might be hard to navigate however, that is what we are here for. Paying with your account and routing number results in not having any extra "fees", but will take sometime to be processed.

Step 1.) Type www.irs.gov into the task bar.

Step 2.) Once on their site you can click on "Pay"

Step 3.) It will then direct you to a different page which will give you two options. To pay with your bank account you will choose "Bank Account (Direct Pay).

Step 4.) Choose "Make a Payment", as well, be aware that they will charge the account from Monday-Saturday: 11:45 p.m. ET and Sunday: 7 a.m. ET.

Step 5.) Afterwards under Reason for Payment: Tax Return or Notice Apply Payment To: 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ Tax Period for Payment: 2018

Step 6.) Verifying your identity and make sure to fill out every box with a "*".

Step 7.) Enter all information and the exact amount that is in taxes and enter your account and routing number and the account type. Place in your email for your receipt/confirmation/updates.

Step 8A.) It will then take you to a single page where you can confirm all information.

Step 8B.) At the bottom you must be aware this section is for electronic signature. You must place the correct information at it is on your tax return.

Step 9.) You should get a confirmation number and the chance to print page. Use this as your receipt and keep for 3 years. If you are a business owner, keep it for life!
